Closures & Refurbishments:

Due to construction at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, horseback riding will be temporarily unavailable beginning July 13, 2024, through November 2024. Guests are welcome to explore a variety of recreational activities around the Resort, including pony rides, archery, kayak rentals and more. For more details or help planning activities, please speak with any Front Desk or Recreation Cast Member.

Work is under way to replace more than 360 free-standing cabins at Fort Wilderness with new DVC cabins. Construction is expected to unfold in phases, with entire loops being fenced for old cabins to be removed and replaced by the new DVC cabins. This process will continue throughout the summer, with each loop brought online once completed.
