You can let out your inner-artist at Crockett’s Craft Corner at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!

This two-hour board-and-brush style workshop hosted by Hammer & Stain Clermont invites guests ages 8 and up to design, paint and take home their very own rustic wooden sign. You will be guided through the process of creating a themed, personalized wooden piece of art. As you paint, you can enjoy a complimentary assortment of light food and beverage options. Only one additional guest is permitted per artwork sign.

Roll up your sleeves and sift through your own bag of treasure in our flowing sluice during this interactive, hands-on gem mining experience!

Mining dirt is available for purchase at the Bike Barn, and each bag will be filled with sand, dirt, and hidden treasures! Choose from bags containing either a variety of rough cut gems, a variety of fossils, or you can purchase a bag that combines both gems and fossils. You can learn more about your final bounty using the detailed gemstone and fossil identification display posted at the Assay Station.

From the comfort of a chartered boat, your party will embark on the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake cruises to Magic Kingdom Park—with synchronized audio onboard to fully immerse you in the moment. It’s an incredible finale to the festivities!

Train like an archer as you learn to hold a bow, take aim, and send an arrow soaring towards a target. Put pro tips to the test and zero in on the coveted bull’s-eye after receiving a short training lesson.

At the Bike Barn at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Archery Guides teach Guests 7 years of age and up how to use a compound bow; then it's time for target practice! Most of this 75-minute experience is dedicated to firing at range targets.

Introduce your junior cowboy or cowgirl to our 4-legged equine friends with an old-fashioned pony ride. Pint-sized cowpokes can climb aboard the petite ponies at Tri-Circle-D Ranch.

Pony rides are offered daily at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground with the last ride of the day 30 minutes prior to close. Riders must be at least 2 years of age, under 80 pounds, no taller than 48 inches and able to hang on by themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times.

Due to construction at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, horseback riding will be temporarily unavailable beginning July 13, 2024, through November 2024. Guests are welcome to explore a variety of recreational activities around the Resort, including pony rides, archery, kayak rentals and more. For more details or help planning activities, please speak with any Front Desk or Recreation Cast Member.

Go on a 45-minute horseback trail ride along scenic, wooded trails. Guests 9 years of age and up can ride through an idyllic woodland teeming with deer, ducks, armadillos and rabbits. Perfect for beginner and intermediate riders, trail rides are a relaxing way to explore the natural beauty surrounding The Cabins and Campsites of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Your carriage awaits! Travel through the lush pine and cypress forest where deer, rabbits, ducks and armadillos like to roam.

You’ll board your horse-drawn carriage for a 25-minute ride near Crockett’s Tavern. If arriving by vehicle, please park in the main entrance of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and take a bus to the Settlement Depot. Carriages fit up to 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 small children.

December 1-30, 2024 | Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn

Get in the spirit of the season as you travel along scenic trails aboard a merry sleigh! Delight in Holiday Sleigh Rides from December 1 through December 30, 2024. Board your sleigh for a 25-minute ride at the new Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn near the Settlement Bus Depot at The Cabins and Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Sleighs fit up to 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 small children.

Advance reservations are highly recommended, as availability is limited. Reservations can be made on the My Disney Experience app up to 60 days prior to your visit. Same-day reservations and walk-ins can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.

This experience is not available on December 24, 2024.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM | Pioneer Hall

Enjoy an old-fashioned wagon ride pulled by two magnificent draft horses! Wagon rides depart Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM (weather permitting) from the front of Pioneer Hall. These 25-minute rides cost $12 for Guests ages 10 and up, and $8 for Guests 3 to 9 years of age. This is a group wagon ride and tickets are sold by the driver 20 minutes prior to the departure time. Cash and MagicBands are accepted as forms of payment.

Rides are only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
